My journey in strata began not as a strata manager but as a property owner. After attending a few strata meetings and dealing with a few different managers, it became clear that this industry was in a need of change. I understood why the strata manager’s job is the one that nobody wanted to do and everyone complained about.

Since then, I became a strata manager and my vision has always been to put my clients’ needs first. I always worked on the relationships, focused on understanding my customers and anticipating their needs.

I have worked in industry leading companies on projects of all shapes and sizes, from 2 lots schemes to large and complex mixed-use buildings with Building Management Committees. I have been involved in every aspect from setting up the schemes to successfully managing them for many years.

To further progress my vision, my husband and I founded our own strata company – StrataBee. Our goal is to create happy and prosperous strata communities which the residents are proud to be part of and live in. At our hive, we work hard, but we also have fun and we give back to assist those in need.

I have always been passionate about real estate, developments and construction. I am always working on a renovation project of some sort. I love working with tools and to surprise of many I am quite good at it too.

In my off time, I am out and about with my family. You can find us cycling through the Royal National Park, walking on the beach or just walking our dog. I love being active, so scuba diving, skiing, hiking and travelling are a big part of my life.

My partner and I established StrataBee at the end of 2019 with the goal to challenge the status quo and deliver truly customer-focused service to the strata industry. We look at every detail from the customers’ point of view and only do what is in the customers’ best interest. We question everything and don’t just do things a certain way because that’s how they have always been done.

My partner, Magdalena Tsonev, has more than 10 years’ experience in the strata industry. She worked her way up the ranks and was exposed to every aspect of the strata management business. She has an impeccable track record of high level of customer satisfaction and has been successful in establishing long-term working relationships with her clients. Her professional approach and positive attitude, which we instil in all our team members is what sets us apart.

I, on the other hand, had almost no experience with strata except for being an owner in a strata scheme. However, we didn’t see this as a disadvantage. On the contrary, it allowed me to look at the industry with fresh eyes and see if something made sense or not. In addition to that I had extensive experience in hotel management from 3 different continents and had been a business owner for over 13 years, so there were a lot of skills that I could bring across.

We like to think that by combining both of our strengths and experience, we managed to create something special, a friendly and helpful strata management company which our team members enjoy being part of and our clients rave about.

Marcello Pisto

Senior Strata Manager

Marcello is a senior strata manager who has been in the industry for almost a decade. He has experience managing large and complex strata buildings, both residential and commercial, as well as BMCs. He has demonstrated advanced skills in all strata management related tasks like budgeting, bank reconciliations, accounting, conducting meetings and insurance, but also outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills.  

Outside of work, Marcello has a passion for football and fine food. He also recently got married and enjoys spending time with his partner and their pet cavoodle.

Strata Manager

Shanen is a vibrant Strata Manager with 2.5 years of experience in the industry. Known for her outgoing personality and passion for building strong relationships, Shanen excels at managing strata plans of different sizes and complexities.

Outside of work, Shanen enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s casting a line while fishing, experimenting with new recipes, or eating at her favourite restaurants.

New Business Specialist | Operations Team Leader

Sam has been a licensed strata manager since 2020 and an invaluable member of the StrataBee team since the very beginning. Bringing his excellent operational skills acquired over 12 years in the hospitality industry, Sam has successfully transitioned to Strata Management. He has developed a strong understanding of strata legislation, which together with his problem solving and customer service skills, has earned him a great reputation with both our customers and the rest of the team.

In his role as a New Business Specialist, Sam has been instrumental in the growth of our portfolio and taking us from a small size to medium size strata management business.

In his personal life, Sam is busy with his young growing family. He loves cooking and being out on the water.

Bradley Bonato - Assistant Strata Manager

Bradley started his career in the construction industry eventually moving into building management where he strived to help satisfy clients by going the extra mile. He hopes to bring these same skills and motivation to Strata Management. 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Business Management.

He pays keen interest to the small details. He is enthusiastic, hardworking, meticulous and proactive problem-solving individual who is always up for a good challenge. Bradley’s also a people’s person who is easy to talk to and loves to be able to solve the customers questions or problems.

In his free time he loves being active and healthy. He goes to the gym twice a day and plays football and cricket on weekends. 

He loves spending time with his friends and family and enjoying the outdoors.

Receptionist | Admin Assistant

Frances is an experienced receptionist who has joined the Hive as our Receptionist/Admin Assistant. Whilst being a fresh face to the Strata industry, she boasts an impressive 8-year tenure in customer service, where her warmth and friendliness have always shone through. Frances is excited to grow and learn all about the Strata industry, whilst supporting our team and clients remain a key priority. Frances is fuelled by a strong work ethic, ensuring that every task is approached with diligence and enthusiasm. She strives for positivity and promptness, promising these in each interaction that you have with her as our first point of contact. 

Outside of the office, you will find Frances at the gym or checking out the latest and greatest restaurants. She also loves the beach (connecting back to her home roots of the South Coast), spending time with her family and socialising with her friends both near and far.

Lauren has been in the real estate industry for the past 16 years and has always had a passion for people and property. Known for her friendly personality, Lauren assists the team to create a positive customer service experience.

In her personal life, Lauren enjoys being out and about with her young family. She also loves the beach, baking, going for walks, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.
